The purpose of the bursary program is to enhance the capabilities of those who have the necessary abilities in cybersecurity.

Cisco Scholarship Program
In the digital age, businesses are increasingly relying on cybersecurity to safeguard themselves, build trust, improve speed and add value to their business expansion. As the complexity and frequency of cyberattacks increase, companies have a serious shortage of IT professionals who have cybersecurity expertise.
To close the security skills gap, Cisco is introducing the Global Cybersecurity Scholarship program. Cisco will invest $10 million into this program in order to increase the pool of individuals with a high level of cybersecurity. Cisco has also expanded its Security certifications with the addition of a brand newly introduced CCNA Cyber Ops certification.
The scholarship programme Cisco provides free training, mentorship and testing to help you achieve CCNA Cyber Ops certification and develop the necessary skills for the position of Security Operations Center Analyst. The brand new CCNA Cyber Ops certification has been created to fill the skill gap and provide the necessary knowledge to be able to tackle the current and future challenges of security for networks.

Cisco Scholarship Award Details
The self-paced online learning path to earning this certificate includes three courses and two tests which is a substantial financial investment for your career.
- “Understanding Cisco Cybersecurity Fundamentals” (SECFND) is the first course of the Cyber Ops curriculum for CCNA.
- “Implementing Cisco Cybersecurity Operations” (SECOPS), the second course of the CCNA Cyber Ops curriculum
- Two companion CCNA Cyber Ops exams (210-250 SECFND and SECOPS 210-255)
- Coaching and mentoring for all 3 of the courses mentioned above.
Cisco will offer the program in collaboration with important Cisco authorized learning partners who will offer mentorship and coaching.
The cost of all education, including mentoring and coaching and exam fees that count towards getting the CCNA Cyber Ops certification, is included in the award.
Eligibility for Cisco Scholarship
To be eligible for a scholarship, candidates must meet the following requirements:
General:
- You must be age 18
- Be proficient in English
Basic technical proficiency (possess any or all of the following):
- Cisco certificate (Cisco CCENT certificate or better)
- Relevant industry-specific certification for relevant industry [(ISC) 2, CompTIA Security+, EC-Council, GIAC, ISACA[(ISC) 2, CompTIA Security+, EC-Council,
- Cisco Networking Academy letter of completeness (CCNA 1 and CCNA 2)
- At least three years ‘ experience combined in a regulated U.S. military positions
- Windows expertise: Microsoft (Microsoft Specialist, MCSA, MCSE), CompTIA (A+, Network+, Server+)
- Linux expertise: CompTIA (Linux+), Linux Professional Institute (LPI) certification, Linux Foundation (LFCS, LFCE), Red Hat (RHCSA, RHCE, RHCA), Oracle Linux (OCA, OCP)
